Hi. I am Barry Joseph.
I am formerly the VP of Digital Experience at the Girl Scouts of the USA and Associate Director For Digital Learning at the American Museum of Natural History.
When I began at the Museum I used this blog to talk about my adventures, exploring issues related to digital media and museum-based learning. I featured original interviews, thought pieces, and highlights from my work and those of my colleagues at the AMNH.
Starting in 2020, with the launch of Barry Joseph Consultancy, LLC, I turned this blog into a place to explore digital engagement writ large.

Running a Girl Scout Troop during a Period of Social Distancing
There are so many ways to run a Girl Scout Troop during a period of social isolation. I know a suburban Troop Leader who arranged for her girls to do a craft together using a local company that makes individual … Continue reading

Double The Pleasure! Please Visit My New Web Site
In the summer of 1995, I launched my first web site. It was designed to be my calling card, a resume of sorts, displaying what I could do with HTML code so I could be hired to do the same. … Continue reading

Help me Celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Games For Change #G4C18 Festival with a Pop-up Museum
As one of the founders of Games For Change, I was delighted when they asked me to help them celebrate the 15th anniversary this summer with a pop-up museum. At previous conferences like Museums and the Web and the Games, … Continue reading
